The cycles are repetitive patterns of a number of days which contain 1 or more day programs. For most employees, the cycle is consisted of 2 day programs: one is a day program repeated for 5 days a week and another is the weekend (non-working) program. But if, for instance, an employee works three different shifts (morning, afternoon and night) on a weekly basis, the cycle will contain 21 days (3 shifts of 7 days). Each employee in Astrow must have a cycle assigned. Calculations are made based on the day programs that are linked to the cycle.
