Illness control uses the absence definitions by certain rules defined in this purpose to export specific reports in Astrow Web. Employees are allowed a number of medical days without a doctor certificate according to those rules.
The medical absence of one or more working days without a medical certificate is defined as SC (Self Certificate) in the application and the medical absence with a medical certificate will be DC (Doctor Certificate). A medical certificate for more than 16 days will be defined in the application as DC16.
All illness absences will be added by the users with rights of operation (hr master, hr, managers or employees with self operating permissions). Illness absences cannot be added if there is another absence linked to holiday defined in the same period. Absences requests in Astrow Web are not permitted with illness absences (self certificate, doctor certificate and doctor certificate > 16). If there is an absence request already in the level authorization process and an illness absence is also added that period, the system will reject the absence request.
All illness reports will be defined and generated in Astrow Web.
There are two categories of illness rules which can be applied to employees:
Basic Illness type – these rules specify that an employee is entitled to have 4 times absences of maximum 3 medical days in a year without a doctor certificate.
Exception for IA type – an employee can take up to 24 medical days in an year without a doctor certificate, no more than 8 days in an interval of 16 (not necessarily consecutive) without counting the number of incidents.
Those rules are set individually to employees in their Curriculum. An overview can be found in figure below.
