The day program contains a set of rules that apply to a specific day for more employees. Astrow uses separate modules that can be linked to the appropriate day programs, as break groups, rounding groups, overtime groups or automatic day programs. Those will be defined separately first and can then be linked to the day programs. The day programs are then added to cycles.
The cycles are repetitive patterns of a number of days which contain 1 or more day programs. If, for instance, an employee works three different shifts (morning, afternoon and night) on a weekly basis, the cycle will contain 21 days (3 shifts of 7 days). Each employee in Astrow must have a cycle assigned. Calculations are made based on the day programs linked to the cycle.
