About LicensesAstrow is a time and attendance flexible application, adaptable to its customers' different needs through its main license packages: MSS, ESS and VT, customizable roles and permissions, and many other options.
Application VersionAstrow is licensed per major version. A minor version upgrade of the application will not require a change of license. Any new option or module added on the license requires a license update. For more information, see CodeMeter and License Management.
Employees PackagesThe number of employees determines the system capacity used for packages discounts or upgrades.
Web PackagesMSS, Management Self Service, is the management license. With MSS, the managers have full control of the time and attendance of their teams in Team Manager: add/edit/delete bookings and absences for your team, bookings MC, add notes, change day programs, change cycles, view time cards, holiday cards, anomalies and generate attendance reports of your employees in Astrow Web; the HR personnel have full configuration permissions and administration of all employees.
VT license uses Virtual Terminal for real time bookings, as an evolution from a traditional time clock to a computer controlled terminal, through an internet browser. Employees use VT license to make real-time bookings directly from their computer.
ESS license, Employee Self Service, enables sending absence requests to superiors, viewing personal timecard and holiday card, and team scheduled absences when sending an absence request. It also allows the authorizers to authorize the absences of other persons. ESS license is used for employees to manage their own time and attendance and for authorizers to approve others' absence requests.
Astrow Mobileis a mobile application, mainly targeting the employee. All the daily actions for an employee (MSS, ESS, VT) can be done inside the app. It offers them the required tools to view/operate from their mobile. Available functionalities: mobile booking with GPS coordinates, absence and booking request, time card, holiday card, PIP, chat, data collection, daily view, customizable dashboard. The managers can approve the requests and see the T&A of the staff when away from the office.2 Factor Authentication is a security login option for users also using Astrow Mobile (MSS, ESS, or VT). When logging in to Astrow Web, users will receive a notification in Astrow Mobile to confirm the authentication in Astrow Web.
General optionsPIP Web is an option that allows managers or the authorized personnel to check the presence in the company at any time (see Presence Indication Panel (PIP)).
PIP Mobile and Roll Call is a mobile application to display the PIP status of employees. It also includes a roll-call checking list in case of emergencies (see PIP Emergency Roll Call). Pocket PIP is available only with PIP Web.
Counters export enables the exports and the report Counters.
Absence operations export enables the export of absence actions: add, edit, and delete.
Visitors (registration and printing) helps companies using Astrow to register incoming visitors (see Visitors).
The Projects module helps companies using Astrow to collect and process simple project work information and track activities performed by employees on various projects. The module calculates time spent on projects and their various activities (see Projects).
Illness Control is an extra module of medical reports developed for the Norwegian market (see Illness Control). Please contact the sales department for more details about this license.
HR is a module used for HR administration (personnel records, documents, etc. - see Astrow HR Definitions).
The Charts module provides a graphical view of employees' data in Astrow and enables the users to export the data in a chart format for an efficient and quick view of employees' T&A evolution (see Charts).
The Notifications module is used for email and push notifications for anomalies, daily or periodic counters variations (see Notifications).
The Department registration module is used to split he values of the daily counters one achieves between two or more departments (see Department Registration Key Settings).
Occupancy Monitor is used for on-site reservations, e.g., for meetings or to comply with the occupancy rules imposed by the COVID-19 situation (see Occupancy Monitor).
Options for the terminalsBio distribution is a license for distributing the terminals' templates (see New/Edit ST-25, New/Edit iT30/iT300 and iT30/iT300 Terminal Commands for more details).
Morpho connection license enables Sagem Morpho terminals (see New/Edit Morpho 500+/200/J and Morpho 200/J/500+ Commands for more details). Please note that this is not possible without a Bio distribution license.
File terminal is a license to import in / export from Astrow bookings/data (see New/Edit File Terminal for more details).
Data collection is a license to insert directly from the terminal (iT30/iT300/ST-25) the number of operations of a type defined done during a working day, to be included in daily or periodic reports (see Data Collection for more information).
Mobile Terminal is a mobile application that transforms a mobile phone into an Astrow data collection terminal. A mobile can be used instead of any terminal to make bookings or register visitors. Employees can make bookings by PIN, employee number, or scanning a barcode/QRCode (see Bookings with Mobile Terminal). To define a mobile terminal, see New/Edit Mobile Terminal.
App design and run create and run new configurations on the terminal (please contact your dealer!).
The Access license offers a module for access control that can be used with a T&A application or independently. Access control module works with iTR300GS prox and mifare terminals.
Cloud PackagesAstrow offers the same services in rental packages.
